Thanks for the bookmarks, they are cute! I was so excited I finally got to read The Hunger Games series this summer!
Thank you for all of your downloads and ideas. You have great quality products.
To get ready for the movie in December, I read an old favorite- The Hobbit. Sky Dragons by Anne and Todd Macaffrey (Anne’s last book).
Thanks for the bookmarks- can never have enough!
Thanks for the cute bookmarks! Definitely going to use these.
This summer, the standout read for me was Diane Keaton’s memoir – “Then Again” – and it was phenomenal. It was a sort of co-memoir with her late mother. Her mother’s journal excerpts were included as well as stories of Diane’s life, loves, road to fame, etc. Couldn’t put it down!
The page turner I have been reading is Spirit Driven Success by Dani Johnson. My 2nd time reading it this year!
Thanks – these are so cute! I finally read the Book Thief, the Hunger Games, Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (& the other 2 series) and Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close. Next up, Gone Girl!
Okay, sorted that last prbolem as well the clever bit that doesn’t display invisible bookmarks (or categories with no bookmarks) needs to be used in the closeall and openall functions. So I hacked frontend.php and in the openall and closeall functions, before the echo var el = document part, I added the code:$params = array_merge($merged_options, array( category’=>$cat->term_id));$bookmarks = get_bookmarks($params);if ( empty($bookmarks) )continue; Thanks for the plug-in it’s now replaced the blogroll-links plug-in
I finally got around to reading Peyton Place this summer – it was a great summer read about the struggles and scandal of a small town in the late 1930s/early 1940s!
I read Redeeming Love by Francine RIvers and it was life changing!
I also read a book that was a book for elementary and middle school kids called Out of My Mind by Sharon Draper, but a total must-read for anyone who wants to see kids with disabilities in a different light. Beautiful!
Hi Angela, I am a long time reader of your blog and wanetd to give the input you ask for. I think it looks so amazing! Who did you have design it? My only suggestion is that when I first come to the blog, it takes a while for the pictures on the top bar to load and feels a little empty until they do. It could just be that my connection isn’t very fast too. I don’t know how easy this would be, but I wonder if you would like it better if they all came up at once (all three) and then the pictures just rotated through like you have them doing anyway. Really cool little slideshows, by the way!
These are so cute! Thank you for sharing.
A page-turner for me this summer was Bloom (a memoir) by Kelle Hampton. Loved it!
I just finished The Glass Castle … really good book. Also read Hotel Angeline, written by a group of authors. Unique approach, interesting read.
Thank You!!
I read several books, but really enjoyed “One Drop: My Father’s Hidden Life–A Story of Race and Family Secrets” which is a biography of Anatole Broyard by his daughter. The father was mixed race but hid that fact from his children until his death. If you like geneaology and thoughtful discussion about race issues, you’ll like this book.
Thanks so much for the great bookmarks – love them. You may want to add Heartbroken by Lisa Unger to your Fall reading list!
Currently I have 3 books going with magazine inserts marking my place in each….

I read Gillian Flynn’s two earlier novels: “Sharp Edges” & “Dark Places” while waiting for her current novel, “Gone Girl” to arrive at the library. I wasn’t disappointed by any of the three!
I love reading cook books and I am a big fan of Jamie Oliver. HIs book: “30 Minute Meals” is amazing and shows that you do not need a lot of time to create something heathy and tasty!

My favorite kid reads of the summer have been The Strange Case of Origami Yoda and Darth Paper Strikes Back – both by Tom Angleberger. For a more “grown up” read, I just finished Another Piece of My Heart by Jane Green and it was FANTASTIC.
Well, since my little one was born in mid-May, I didn’t have a whole lot of time for reading this summer. Novels, anyway. I have read “The Very Hungry Caterpillar” quite a few times!

Hello, Great Plugin. I have a feature reqsuet. Any way to set the link order for both categories and then links? Thanks!Courtney Bostdorff

Oh my gosh! I am so guilty of this. No more mioliln excuses. I did manage to go to Ikea on Tuesday to get those neat hanging modern shelf and finally display portraits of my family. It’s true, it’s so easy to trap our precious photos of our lovedones but are so quick to schedule appointments, take pictures of other families and spend hours retouching (so guilty of this). I finally did something about though this week. Thank gosh. You’re not the only one Angela and I enjoyed reading this post. Blessings.

My guilty pleasure books are anything by Emily Giffin. Thank you again!

Love them <3 Thank you very much x
Reading The Autobiography of Charles Spurgeon
Collapsing blogroll uses a coenmmt code to place your blogroll where you want it in a page or post. This allows for an easily created links page, divided into sections by the link categories. At the moment, there is only one option, what color do you want the category header. This is very well done, but it seems very lonely so far. The author is very open to adding more options, and was very quick to figure out a problem caused by another plugin. A limited plugin right now, but lots of room for growth, with an enthusiastic author.
Thank you so much!
Love these, and so will the little! He is always looking for a bookmark since he and daddy are reading chapter books at bedtime now! I recommend “The Amazing Poo Plant” … it is just what it says and is super fantastic! As for grown up books, I am in the middle of Jodi Picoult’s Vanishing Acts and Barbara O’neal’s The Lost Recipe for Happiness.. so far love them both! =D
