Indoor snowball fight
These snowballs have been quite the hit with my family and I can’t wait to share, so you can enjoy them with yours. These are super easy snowballs to put together that provide a whole lot laughs. Whether you pull them out for the kids on a cold afternoon or a big party with friends, you just have to try them.
*As a Mom who puts in a lot of housework time in, I have to mention this small detail. These balls don’t break or tip anything over! They are just, to light. You can still throw them a long distance, but nothing breaks! Now that’s worth mentioning, right?!
- Material: White Flees (1 yard will make 35 snowballs.)
- Cotton Batting
- Thick Twine or Thread
- Scissors
- Sewing Machine
You will need to cut your fleece in a long 7” wide strip. Fold each strip in half. Now the strip is 3.5″ wide. Sew the strip together using a 1/4″ seem allowance creating a tube. Turn your tube inside out. Cut 5″ long pieces from the tube. Gather one end together and tie it off using a square knot with your thread. Stuff with cotton batting and then tie second end. Trim ends so the raw edges are closer to your knots.
It won’t take long for any group to get the hang of things! It is fun to see who really get’s into it. You might be surprised.
Did I mention that there are some great photo opportunities here?! Don’t forget to keep the camera close. Please send us pictures, as we would LOVE to see them!
This year we pulled out 200 snowballs and had quite the snowball fight at the family Christmas party. As crazy as this sounds the adult snowball fights have been my favorite. It is fun to see everyone ducking and taking cover, coming up with their own throwing plan and running around while they reload baskets. You have to try it.
Have you done much crafting this cold winter season?

What a fun idea!! I know lots of kids and so called ‘grown ups’ in my family that would love this!
Thanks for sharing!
How fun is that!!! Painless fun for all!
I love it!
Where did the 12 Days of Christmas gift tags printables go? I didn’t get a chance to download them during the holidays.
My aunt made all the kids snowballs for Christmas this year. We have been having so much family fun with them. Indoor snowball fights are a genius idea!!!
