My favorite project via Paper Coterie to share is my “Dear Dad” 11.5 x8.5 Hardcover photo book. I made this book for my husband as a return gift from another Iraq Deployment. I chose pictures the few times he has been able to come home to be with our family over the last 4 years. He has been away for most of our 3 1/2 year old’s life, including our son’s birth and first 10 months of life! I added pictures of our son on the things he missed out on while he was away as well. My husband saw the book sitting on our dining room table after returning home and read through it saying, “this is the most meaningful and well thought out gift I have ever seen.” He loved the pictures, inspirational quotes and how I was able to tell a story of thanks and memories all in one place. He keeps this photobook on his desk as a reminder of the sacrifices that are made in a military family for our country and how proud he is to have a family supporting him and loving him through it all…not whining about it!
