Well, my amazing husband is going to school full time and working part time, so we will be taking our 3 kids to the dinosaur museum, farm country, the zoo and swimming through the summer. He will have about 2 weeks at the end of the summer term before fall starts and we are hoping to make it to Bryce Canyon. Thank You Traveling Soul-Mate!! Love you guys and your products!! :-)

  2. Kendra June 25, 2012 at 2:09 pm

Hello all! Well my first trip of the summer season is going to be a tour of Atlantic Canada. We’re starting in Halifax, Nova Scotia and then ending in Belleisle Creek, New Brunswick! As the temperatures in Texas are presently in the 100s, I’m looking forward to the cooler weather!

  3. Jenn N June 25, 2012 at 2:10 pm

I LOVE your products and how easy it is to record my memories. This summer we will be traveling to western PA to visit family we haven’t seen in almost 20 years! I am excited to be making new memories with them!

  4. Justy June 25, 2012 at 2:12 pm

I’m going to visit my grandparents again. We already went once, last week, with them to visit family cemeteries and I did some genealogical research. Next time I’m going to video them, collect stories from them and visit some other cousins in the area. Looking forward to spending time with them and recording their memories for my daughter!

  5. Jessica Anderson June 25, 2012 at 2:12 pm

We stay around home in the summer. We live on a island in the middle of northern michigan. My kids and I walk to the beach many times a week. We save our vacation time for the cold winters!

  6. Andrea June 25, 2012 at 2:15 pm

Next week the entire family is taking a trip to Kure Beach, NC for a great week in the surf and sand. It will be my son’s first time at the beach. He is 15 months, and we are so excited to see him toddle around in the sand and get his feet wet in the ocean.

  7. Annie June 25, 2012 at 2:18 pm

This summer we’re fulfilling my husband’s life-long dream of watching his favorite Major League team play live! On the way there, we’ll also be stopping to see his grandmother who is 92, and we’ll introduce her to her first granddaughter. Then we’ll sprinkle my son’s ashes in the city my husband was born in! Summer full of remembering what’s truly important–family!

  8. keely henkel June 25, 2012 at 2:19 pm

We are going down south for our annual beach camping trip! my kids love the beach and my hubby loves the surf- it’s always a relaxing time we look forward to every year!

  9. Sara k June 25, 2012 at 2:20 pm

I just moved back to Wisconsin after several years in Texas and Utah. I’m busy unpacking and finding things for my kids to do; that and trying to not be eaten alive by Mosquitos and enjoying being home!

  10. Kirsten Gorski June 25, 2012 at 2:22 pm

Well this summer we will be having baby number 7 (within a couple of weeks), so we will be having a stay-cation and visit things around our home including the water parks, the mountains, and family!

  11. Kristie June 25, 2012 at 2:23 pm

  13. Allison June 25, 2012 at 2:26 pm

I am starting my weight loss journey to finally get the body I’ve always wanted. I will also spend my first summer with my amazing boyfriend, his 4 year old son and my 5 year old daughter. I hope we’ll get to do a bunch of amazing day trips. <3

    • Allison June 25, 2012 at 2:28 pm

I realized i worded that wrong. What i should’ve said was “my 5 year old daughter and i will be spending our first summer with my amazing boyfriend and his 4 year old son”

  14. Heather June 25, 2012 at 2:29 pm

We will be traveling all over with our newborn and 2 year old sons. We will be hitting up many state parks, hiking and swimming, spending time at our family lake house, and maybe even checking our North Dakota. But we are most excited for the boys to fly out to Michigan to meet/visit their great grandparents on the beautiful shores of Lake Michigan.

  15. Angie Beebe June 25, 2012 at 2:29 pm

I am running this summer…..Running races, running to work, and running to keep up with my two little wild boys. Fun but crazy summer.

  16. the Mudmom June 25, 2012 at 2:29 pm

Learning Japanese before our 10 year old boy gets here fore the summer exchange program!!!

  17. Heidi Conger June 25, 2012 at 2:30 pm

It’s our summer tradition to create a Summer To-Do List. Our three girls generate all the ideas for the list. We post it on the frig, crossing things off as they’re accomplished. Except this summer, we’re trying to cross the items off with reckless abandon…..as they baby sister will make her arrival here in just a few short weeks! Hoping this is a summer they definitely remember!

  18. Daynene June 25, 2012 at 2:32 pm

I love your photo boxes. made one last year for my parents. This summer we will be spending alot of time at the lakes by our house with our family.

  19. Jen Harrison June 25, 2012 at 2:34 pm

My twins (7yrs) have girls scout camp, bowling camp, reading camp, and speech. We are also involved in our local library events/reading club. So this summer I will be “mom’s taxi service” oh plus a lot of swimming, free roller skating and movies. I am tired just thinking about it all!

  20. Cassie June 25, 2012 at 2:35 pm

Our summer plans had to be altered due to the fact that I had to have major surgery less than 2 weeks ago. So, we are having a stay-cation this summer. My plan is to spend quality time with my boys reading, coloring, watching movies, helping with the garden, and baking. We have moved our vacation to fall break and we are taking the boys to DisneyWorld!!! They don’t know yet, and we are planning on surprising them when we get to the airport.

Even though the plans for our summer are not what we thought they would be, we are making the best of it! We have our health and we have our family……what more could we ask for!!

  21. Tracy June 25, 2012 at 2:36 pm

We live on the gorgeous Chesapeake Bay – we will be enjoying a staycation this summer. But we have lots to get into and make memories with!

  22. Emily June 25, 2012 at 2:38 pm

We have a busy, busy summer ahead of us! We’re installing a sprinkler system and sod at our house, as well as other various projects. We have a trip planned next month to go see family, plus mine and my husband’s birthdays (on the 3rd and 5th of July…yep, 3 day celebration for us!). AND we’re planning our little boy’s first birthday party for the beginning of August, and I’d sure love to win that giftcard…I’m ordering some of your products for the special event! Either way, your products are amazing! Love them!

  23. Nikolette B June 25, 2012 at 2:38 pm

Unfortunately, we don’t get to go anywhere this summer (because my husband is working too much), but I still want to have fun around home. I had a lot of fun things planned, but some of those plans had to be put on hold because my 3 year old daughter just broke her leg a few days ago. As soon as she is feeling better, we will get back to seeing what our town has to offer!

  24. Beth June 25, 2012 at 2:39 pm

  29. Emily Brenner June 25, 2012 at 2:44 pm

I have just discovered your site recently and we gave Dad the “All About Dad” book – what a hit! This summer we just returned from an annual Destin beach trip… and we will be headed to Cali over July 4th to meet our new nephew (we are a first time aunt and uncle!) Late July we head off to Saxtons River, VT to drop the kids and take a dream trip to Italy. We are so excited! How awesome to be able to document this cherished time using your memory books, so we can best record some of the greatest & blessed moments of life!
    Thank-you! Emily – Plano TX

  31. Bobbie June 25, 2012 at 2:45 pm

We are anxiously awaiting the arrival of our son in August. My daughter is involved in alot of fun summer activities such as bible school and college for kids. She also enjoys playing in the sprinkler in the backyard with the neighborhood kids. We have a trip to visit a family friend coming up before the little one arrives and then I’m sure we will be very busy! :)

  32. Muriel Urquidi June 25, 2012 at 2:49 pm

Oh my! Good question. I’m moving from Europe back to the USA. My significant other and I are starting a brand new life in a state we’re never been to NC! We’re going to be road tripping it there from Miami, looking for apartments and looking forward to him starting his masters at a new school. We’ve also been discussing taking our relationship to the next level. A lot of changes are coming! I’d love to document it all!

  33. kristin June 25, 2012 at 2:50 pm

  40. Kristy June 25, 2012 at 3:00 pm

This summer I will be spending every precious moment with my mom and dad who were both diagnosed with cancer within two months of one another. 44. maria June 25, 2012 at 3:14 pm

My garden keeps me quite busy during the summer months. We live on a 30 acre farm in NC, enjoy a little homesteading raising cows, horses, sheep, goats & chicken. But my favorite pastime and hobby is doing digital on-line scrapbooking! Started out doing one gift for a friend which evolved into inquiries & requests from others for me to consider this as a new part-time business :) Love Paper Coterie!

  45. Jocelyn June 25, 2012 at 3:16 pm

I’m looking forward to my first trip to DC. This will be a great opportunity to visit the White House and Capitol Hill during an election year as well as visit scores of museums (Smithsonian anyone?) and memorials. To visit a place of such historical significance and enjoy some (hopefully) good food to boot? I can’t wait!

  46. Jody June 25, 2012 at 3:21 pm

We are headed to Virginia Beach. It’s my niece’s first time to the ocean and I can’t wait to see her reaction. I hope she likes it!

  47. Alisha Shaw June 25, 2012 at 3:22 pm

Love the designs of your memory books and I’ve used them to capture my vacation photos (most recently, Rome and Prague). This summer, we have two family vacations planned: one to Hershey Park (‘the sweetest place on earth’) and another to the Bahamas. Amusement park craziness to relaxing on the beach :)

  54. Mary June 25, 2012 at 3:33 pm

Two of my childhood girlfriends and I drove a motorhome from Oklahoma to Utah, where we met another childhood girlffriend. We went to Bryce Canyon National Park, Zion National Park, Cedar Breaks National Monument, Kodachrome Basin State Park, the Grand Canyon, and Canyon de Chelly National Monument. Oh. I forgot to mention that we’re all Grannys turning 60 this year and we had a ball!!

  55. Becca O. June 25, 2012 at 3:36 pm

The budget’s pretty strapped lately and we’re having to tighten our belt, BUT that’s not stopping us from having an awesome summer! We gathered our little girls ’round and made a giant “Summer Bucket List.” From popsicle party to a homemade drive-in, we’re trying to work our way through the whole list before school starts in August. It’s not a typical vacation, but our girls are pretty stoked about it. I couldn’t believe how happy little things like bubbles and hopscotch made them. It really is the little things in life. :)

  56. kim June 25, 2012 at 3:44 pm

We’re going to see if we can get through the WHOLE summer using only one blow-up swimming pool… in 13 years, it’s never happened yet so it’s a serious endeavor.

What im most excited about is our trip out to California, we will be with his family and mine, we lost his grandmother this past year and we will be scattering her ashes up in the mountains where the families cabin is located, it will be a sad time but also a wonderful time to reflect on our love for her and all of the good times we’ve shared and create new memories. Its been two years since we’ve been able to go, we will find the tree where my husband carved our initials, go fishing, share stories, I cant wait!

I love the Riverwalk, the Mariachi bands, the Mexican market, Sea World……and a visit to San Antonio is not complete until you visit the Alamo! I love history….especially Texas history! I can’t wait!

  73. Megan J. June 25, 2012 at 4:40 pm

With a little extra time this summer, we have been fixing up and cleaning out! Getting organized is a great way to boost at home moral. Plus, we have been kicking up our exercising to get not only healthier, but happier as well. Thanks to my husband for being such a hard worker, I’ve definitely been inspired.

  74. Tricia June 25, 2012 at 4:42 pm

We’ve got our first trip to Disney, and we’re taking our 7, 5, and almost 2-year-old boys! The boys are super excited about the trip, but it’s actually just one of several things we’ve got on our summer bucket list! So far, we’ve gone to the carnival, gone berry picking, and rode Thomas the Train… here’s to a great summer!

BTW, love the coil-bound Disney book in the picture… couldn’t find it on the site, though? Which book should I be looking for?

Later in July I am taking our 15month old dd to Vermont to visit her great-grandparents and then we will meet up with dh in NYC for a week. Then in September we are off to Ireland and Wales! I can’t wait to put together memory boxes and books for the trips. I just got the memory box I ordered for dd’s first birthday and I love how much it holds! It was the perfect thing for all her cards.

  95. RacheL H. June 25, 2012 at 7:02 pm

Yes, I love to travel!! :)

I’m currently in MD for a week volunteering at a small-town church teaching Vacation Bible School. Teaching kiddos and traveling are a good combination… at least in my book. Especially with my camera in hand. :)

  96. Kerry A June 25, 2012 at 7:02 pm

This summer we will be spending every moment enjoying the newest addition to our family…our third (and last) precious baby boy. So we will be staying close to home…enjoying small day trips, walks, and bike rides with our boys.

  97. Margarite H June 25, 2012 at 7:03 pm

My amazing summer started with going to Vegas with friends and being away from my 3 year old for the first time since he was born now that his daddy is back from a couple tours in Iraq! We are excited to spend some weekend getaways with our friends at Great wolf lodge and document and photograph more days in the park, even with the little sunshine in WA that we have had :-) This summer will be all about experimentation as a family…so who knows what else may happen! All I can say is that after almost celebrating 10 years of marriage this summer…there are always more adventures to be had!

  98. weiya June 25, 2012 at 7:05 pm

We’re going to try to stay cool and get in as much family time as possible! :)

  99. Jenny June 25, 2012 at 7:06 pm

We’re spending a week up at my parent’s cabin. Otherwise, we have a full list of fun activities including museums, park, swimming and crafts. Hopefully a backyard carnival too!

  100. Blissmamaof3 June 25, 2012 at 7:14 pm

We are spending two weeks at our favorite lake house and going to our favorite family beach on Lake Michigan each morning.

  101. Helen June 25, 2012 at 7:34 pm

We’re doing a big New England road trip with a 3 year old. Wish us luck!

  102. Kate Ensell June 25, 2012 at 7:41 pm

My son recently turned one and I am so excited that he is starting to understand how to play with other kids! It is so cute when they try to play with him and he just kind of looks at them, then hands them whatever toy he is playing with. Our goal this summer is lots of having lots of fun playing with good friends!!

  103. Nicky from Okotoks June 25, 2012 at 7:44 pm

Oh so love your products – they are amazing. We have been in our house for just about a year now and this summer will be spent enjoying the newly fixed up yard and blow up water slide for the kiddies. Saving to go to Disnelyland next summer, so backyard vacation it is this year.
    Thank you for the chance.

  104. Susan June 25, 2012 at 8:26 pm

this is the FIRST year my husband & I can plan a summer vacation, as we’re both officially retired (he from banking & me from nursing) we’re spending our time touring our lovely province of New Brunswick, CAN……there’s so much to offer in *our outdoors*

  105. Ashley R. June 25, 2012 at 8:38 pm

Oh, the summer bug got us again! We have plans to visit the Olympic National Park, some farms in Oregon, the urban scene in Portland and anywhere we can find to camp and fly fish around our home town of Boise, ID (which isn’t hard : ) Paper Coterie gives me a way to enhance my photos through their endless options of hip yet timeless products. I look forward to capturing all of the big moments, small details and everything in between! It is going to be a great summer!

  106. Christina R June 25, 2012 at 9:03 pm

We are going to Yellowstone this summer! I have always wanted to go but have never been there. I am so excited! We are also going camping at least once and my husband and I will be spending a couple of nights away on Orcas Island, WA for our anniversary!

  107. Sarah June 25, 2012 at 9:15 pm

With a 3 year old and 5 year old, our summer HAS to be filled with fun to hold off the unwanted whine of “Mom, I’m bored!” We made a list (inspired by pinterest) of 100 fun things to do this summer. Some of the things are as simple as build a fort, make Popsicles, and visit a new park. Others more in depth things include go road trip, sleep in a tent, tour a fire station and research a country. And if this isn’t enough to keep us busy, we’ve planned a trip to Sleeping Bear dunes and our local amusement park. There’s no question as to what our favorite season is – hands down, it’s summer!!

  108. MamichelleHttp June 25, 2012 at 9:22 pm

We are spending our vacation in Fryeburg, Maine, in a cute little cottage on a lake. Can’t wait!

    • Frenalyn October 23, 2012 at 10:53 am

Love your page! I just picked up some of those Simple Stories pepras myself and moved them around on a page a dozen times or so with no real layout in mind, so thanks for the wonderful inspiration! Our family hopes to get to Ottawa as well this summer to visit friends- enjoy your trip!

  109. Amanda Fuentes June 25, 2012 at 9:57 pm

We spent a week at Disneyland to kick off the summer and have several day trips planned and a mini beach getaway to look forward too!

  110. Tami Hass June 25, 2012 at 9:58 pm

This summer we decided to take our kids on a good old fashioned roap trip! We live in california so we are starting off at the CA big trees! Maginificent creations so beautiful. As a family we love hiking, so we are planning lots of hikes into our short stays al
ong the way. We also love food networks, ” Dinners drive ins & dives” so we are doing our own version of food searching along the route of CA to the Grand Canyon! We are all looking forward to it and stumbling upon hidden gems that we have yet to discover. I am secertly hoping to find some antique shops along the way too, those are vacation mementos to me! Lots of pictures yet to come, lots of journaling at night so i can easily go back after developing the photos, and viola our “family 2012 summer vacation” album is complete. My daughter & I have fun doing it at night in our hotel, ramonising of the days events, we also enjoy collecting memorbella from that day like a candy wrapper that is different, a napkin from a frosty shop, etc. We just glue them in along with our journaling and have a blast doing it. This way once home, add photos and we can share our memories with family & friends of our fun family vacation!!!That is why I love Paper coterie, your journals, and scrapbooks make it a delight! Thank-you for helping me keep our family memories re orded for our children and some years from now my grandchildern.

  111. LeesaC June 25, 2012 at 11:28 pm

My 7 year old son and I are taking a history tour of the Eastern US; Williamsburg, Philadelphia, New York. It’s great to have the summers off to really dive into learning in an experiential way. We keep journals when we travel and the memories we record are priceless. I’m looking forward to fill a few this summer.

  112. Heidi Lentz June 25, 2012 at 11:47 pm

Well, we took an early spring vacation to Williamsburg, VA. We homeschool and just studied American History so it was great to see everything there. Now we’ll spend the rest of the summer at the pool and working on our summer bucket list.

  113. Trish June 26, 2012 at 12:40 am

Summer is our special time to celebrate family! We fill our days with enjoying each other’s company, reading, being creative, spending time outside, learning about new things, relaxing, and having new experiences! We have made a list of what we want to do together as a family and so far, we have enjoyed every moment!

  114. Eloquence June 26, 2012 at 12:44 am

I’ll be going back to visit some family (in two different states!) and then off to my first year of university! Exciting.

  115. Amber June 26, 2012 at 1:00 am

We are spending our summer doing a bunch of local trips to places we always saw we should go to but never do . . . museums, state parks, hiking trails, water parks, and anything else we can find. And have a big (meaing all my husbands siblings and their families) camping trip coming up next week!

  116. meliss r June 26, 2012 at 1:13 am

We are going down our summer manifesto list and checking things off! We are having a ton of fun. I cannot wait to get to the point to where I can print my summer manifesto photo book out!

  117. Michelle June 26, 2012 at 1:44 am

We are doing an “Old Florida Trip”. Taking the kids on a road trip to see all the sites there are to see from some of the older odd and unusual spots to some of the newer tourist draws. Can’t wait for the kids to see some of the things I remember from my childhood that won’t be there for long!

  118. Michaela June 26, 2012 at 1:55 am

We will be escaping to Lake Geneva, WI whenever the opportunity arises. It’s a short drive but gets us completely out of our everyday routine (and the bickering and whining that kids often do). Even a day trip feels like a week away, so we can go back home feeling exhausted but refreshed.

  119. Serena Adkins June 26, 2012 at 2:20 am

We are playing on taking our son to Great Wolf Lodge for his 4th birthday. He loves the water and loves to have fun! We also love to go to the zoo on a weekly basis since we have a membership.

  120. Phyllis June 26, 2012 at 2:20 am

So far I’ve been it the Smoky Mountains with my husband for a conference, he went to Seattle with me for one, then I spent 10 days in South Korea visiting my soldier daughter where I took about eight hundred pictures. I think I’m home to stay, unless I can sneak in a quick beach trip!

  121. Katie June 26, 2012 at 2:31 am

We are renting a house up by Traverse City in Northern MI with my parents and spending a week exploring the little cities around the lakes and going to Mackinac Island.

  122. Rachel V June 26, 2012 at 2:50 am

We are taking a trip over the July 4th holiday to Okaboji Iowa to enjoy the lake and sun! We will be tenting it though so praying for awesome weather :) But even if we don’t get that answered no doubt it will still be fun. Happy summer all!!

  123. Kasi June 26, 2012 at 3:31 am

I LOVE THIS IDEA! What an awesome way to market existing product for a totally NEW way to use it. I wouldn’t have thought of this on my own and I LOVE IT!!!! I can’t wait to go on vacation, collect a bunch of little ephemera just so I can come back and create a photobook and matching memory box!!! (You should host this 40% promotion in September! After we’ve gone on all these great trips!!!).

We are going to Long Beach’s annual sand castle festival, on Washington’s Penninsula. With professional sand castle displays and rainbow kites flying in the wind, that will produce some award winning memories!!!!

Thanks for the awesome offers. Can’t wait to make my travel mates!!!!

  124. Gail B. June 26, 2012 at 3:47 am

We are going to be spending our vacation in Santa Cruz, CA, enjoying both the beach and the redwoods.

  125. amy June 26, 2012 at 3:48 am

we discovered a few years ago that the best place to vacation with young kids is at the grandparents’ house. Ohio may not sound like a glamorous getaway, but it has free babysitting. and, we do get to enjoy an anniversary overnight trip to ride the world’s best roller coasters :)

  126. Kate L June 26, 2012 at 4:36 am

summers are always exciting for our family. So far, we have taken our 3 year old daughters on their first camping trip, celebrated their turning 3 and have a trip to DE and MI planned as well as 4 Family Fun Fridays (as we like to call them) at various museums, events and attractions in our area of Southern California. We have taken TONS of pictures already, but would LOVE to have someplace neat to document it all as a family.

  127. Anne L June 26, 2012 at 4:39 am

We are having our FABULOUS honeymoon this summer! Our itinerary is out of this world–stopping for a day in Amsterdam, then continuing on to Nairobi and the Masaai Mara for safari, then Paris oh la la on the way back. What a grand adventure we will have!

  128. Alyshia F. June 26, 2012 at 5:11 am

We have to stay home this year because my youngest is still very little , but hopefully next year we are off to the beach!

  129. MacKenzie Ostler June 26, 2012 at 5:25 am

On Saturday, we are heading to North Carolina to spend a week on Lake Toxaway with my husband’s family. 2 of his brothers live in Ohio and one of his brother’s family has never met my 1-year-old Bekkett, so I can’t wait for them to meet our little guy! We will most definitely be documenting these moments. My mom has a saying in her house that says, “Grandma’s is where cousins go to become best friends.” Well, since we all can’t gather at Grandma’s house, we will say, “Lake Toxaway is where cousins go to become best friends.” I can’t wait for this moment.

  130. Emily June 26, 2012 at 5:59 am

We are flying (for the first time!) with our 18 month old twin boys to visit family this summer. It will be wonderful for our family to spend time with them and for some of our family to meet our boys for the first time.

  131. Dezi A June 26, 2012 at 6:23 am

We did a big vacation back in January, so we’re staying close to home and exploring our home city. Still super fun! :)

  132. Karen June 26, 2012 at 6:30 am

This summer I will be dreaming of our trip to Northern India this winter. I can’t wait to experience all the colors and people. I love your products and I recommend all my photography clients visit your site.

  133. Kylie Barker June 26, 2012 at 7:47 am

Well, we started the summer with an anniversary 4 day trip along the northern coast of Turkey (along the Black Sea.) We got to enjoy quiet beaches and private canyons! It was awesome!! In 2 weeks we will leave Istanbul to conduct an English course in Senegal, West Africa with high school students and their teachers. After that, we will make the crazy US rounds of PA to visit my family and hit the Outer Banks with them, then SC for a business meeting, Denver to visit my husband’s family, and then roadtrip back from Denver to PA so we can visit friends and my brother’s family in OH before leaving our car with my parents and coming back home to Istanbul.

  134. Mallory McGrann June 26, 2012 at 12:16 pm

At the end of the summer, my kids and I will be welcoming home my husband Jack from a year long deployment to the middle east. We plan to take them on a Disney Cruise in October to reward them for being such great kiddos while he was gone! ;)

  135. Jessica Vazquez June 26, 2012 at 1:05 pm

Our summer vacation was spent in Tokyo, Japan. Traveling international with a two year old is no pice of cake but needles to say the trip was amazing. Next stop Baja California Mexico to swim with whale sharks, along with countless trips to the zoo and sea world. We’re ready for fun summer nights!

  136. Kelli McK June 26, 2012 at 1:25 pm

I am traveling to Germany with a friend to meet our daughters who are on study abroad there. We are then going to Florence, Italy for 5 days of exploring bliss! I have dreamed of going to Italy for over 20 years…I look forward to using your products to help document my memories! Thank you!

  137. Katie June 26, 2012 at 2:02 pm

We live at a camp and will mostly be here- there is so much to do we have to pace ourselves. The pool has just been redone so we are spending quite a bit of time there this summer. Look forward to documenting these fun times!

  138. Whitney June 26, 2012 at 3:17 pm

We spent a week in Newport, CA with some friends, and just lounged on the beach and really enjoyed our relaxing vacation. It was perfect weather, perfect company, and just an all-around perfect trip. I wish we could go again next week!

  139. sandy June 26, 2012 at 5:52 pm

we plan on making many family memories in the mountains. we love to camp and seem to plan our next one even before we are home from the current one! :)

  140. Patricia J. June 26, 2012 at 6:43 pm

We are camping all summer long in our tent trailer! :) Well….on the weekends for sure. With a few week-long roadtrips thrown in for good measure. Bring on the s’mores and campfires! :)

  141. Darcy June 26, 2012 at 7:45 pm

We will be heading to the mountains to camp and then a condo on the beach!

  142. Becky M June 26, 2012 at 8:13 pm

We have not traveled yet. We are planning a trip to the Grand Canyon and my first purchase from Paper Coterie was a journal — on the front I put a picture of our daughter, my husband and me, along with the year and where we are headed. It turned out great and I can hardly wait to fill it up with our trip comments.

  143. Lisa M June 26, 2012 at 8:33 pm

Our family of four is doing a super road trip from San Diego CA to Yosemite! Can’t wait to spend 2 weeks with my family with no work, no school, no chores and just each other :)

  144. Shanna June 26, 2012 at 9:23 pm

We are vacationing “up north” and visiting family. Door County for the 4th of July! :)

  145. leigh June 26, 2012 at 11:30 pm

Drove to Six-Flags Discovery Kingdom. Had a blast.

  146. Candy Howard June 27, 2012 at 12:19 am

We’re just relaxing and enjoying not getting up at 6am. A few short trips and work, of course, but nothing too exciting planned. Okay by me!

  147. Megan Ure June 27, 2012 at 1:31 am

We are planning on spending the summer playing in the sprinklers, going to the zoo, traveling to Jackson Hole to enjoy cooler weather, and spending time together as a family! It’s going to be loads of fun!!!

  148. Pam F June 27, 2012 at 2:46 am

We’re visiting the west coast, then looking forward to welcoming our first grandchild in August. Can’t wait!!

  149. Jennifer L June 27, 2012 at 4:21 am

We are driving from Cincinnati to Seattle and back in a truck with our three kids. You name the national park we are hitting it either on the way there or on the way back. There will be a few hotels involved but mostly a tent in the parks. What were we thinking???

  150. Kari June 27, 2012 at 4:44 am

We just arrived home from our summer road trip to Rocky Mountain National Park! Can’t wait to create a vacation memory book with our photos I just uploaded :-)

  151. Linda June 27, 2012 at 12:07 pm

This summer, I will be visiting San Antonio, TX for the first time. I’m so proud to say that my youngest son, Alex, will be graduating Air Force Basic Training on July 6th. I will have my husband, oldest son (Josh), my BFF and two of Alex’s best friends with me for this trip. We are going a couple days early to do some sight seeing but I know my mind will be on my son!!!! I cannot wait to create some memories of this trip. Thanks so much. :)

  152. shan June 27, 2012 at 4:44 pm

We will be spending our summer vacation by the swimming pool until our fingers and toes turn into prunes. And then we will drive to the beach for days spent by the NC ocean building sand castles, swimming in the ocean and playing in the tide pools. My girls turn into fish during the summer and the one year old baby just tries to keep up with the rest.

  153. Megan Reed June 27, 2012 at 4:50 pm

This summer we kicked off with a trip to the beach! It had been two years since we had been and was the first time for our 16 month old. He warmed up to it and his older brothers had a blast! For the rest of the summer we are trying to stay cool at the local splash pad and riding around in my parents’ boat.

  154. Tammy from Tennessee June 27, 2012 at 9:47 pm

Me and my family will be working more during the summer months due our family business is more seasonal. We will enjoy most of our family time in the back yard around the pool. We plan to take a couple of days to visit Holiday World & Splashin Safari Theme Park in Indiana. Then we will be taking a cruise the first week of October to the Carribean for my parents 50th Wedding Anniversary Celebration with the entire family.

  155. Heather June 28, 2012 at 1:24 am

I am traveling to Thailand tomorrow with AFS Intercultural Programs and spending the month of July visiting my 4 Thai daughters. I will also meet, I hope, the parents of my Thai daughter who will be arriving in August. I am so excited!

  157. Allison Taylor June 29, 2012 at 1:34 am

My boyfriend and I take our dogs to Cape Cod every summer. We all get to unwind. We even managed to find dog-friendly beaches that allow the dogs off leash. I can’t wait for vacation to start and to record our memories when we get back!

  158. Carolyn June 29, 2012 at 2:45 am

I’m driving my three kids (4, 8, &10) on a 5-week tour up the East Coast with stops in Williamsburg, Annapolis, DC, Baltimore, Cape May, Philadelphia, and Boston to visit friends, family, and colonial history sites. We’re reading lots of historical books and going to see the places they’ve read about and studied in school: Colonial Williamsburg, Mount Vernon, the Naval Academy, Plimouth Plantation, Lexington and Concord, Orchard House, Boston Harbor, etc. We’re two weeks in and having a wonderful time. We’ll need a big scrapbook to remember it all!

  159. Tiffany June 29, 2012 at 6:26 am

This summer I am working at a summer school as a teacher’s assistant and substitute teacher. I just graduated so … off to find a semi-permanent job while studying for my GRE’s and applying to grad school. No vacation for awhile >>

  160. Terri F June 29, 2012 at 11:28 pm

We are taking it easy at home this summer, enjoying some day trips and camps for the kids. It’s nice to just relax and enjoy the longer days with the family, making lots of memories!

  161. Janell July 1, 2012 at 5:57 am

I am SO excited about my vacation to the Outerbanks with my husband and kids. We are also going with friends and their kids. It is going to be fun because our husbands are farmers and we haven’t gotten to go on vacation together! This vacation is meant to be because the first house we booked with a realty company waited until a month later to call and say they no longer have our house available (still don’t know the truth of why we could no longer have it after we signed the contract), long story short, we were so upset and thought we wouldn’t get to go…and our husbands FINALLY wanted a break from it all…..we found a private house owner and we couldn’t be happier! We can’t wait to take our kids to the beach and relax!!! Coming in August:)

  162. Janice July 1, 2012 at 2:12 pm

Spending a week on Kentucky Lake! Gorgeous there!

  163. jen2073@hotmail.com July 3, 2012 at 4:03 pm

This summer we are road-tripping across the country from Kansas to Oregon with our 4-year old and 23-month old children. Should be quite an adventure! :)

  164. Janneke Marquez July 3, 2012 at 11:00 pm

We started the summer out with a Memorial Day week trip to sunny southern California! We went to the beach and San Diego and Santa Monica Pier. We are heading this week to San Antonio where we will probably spend most of our days indoors (hot hot hot!) but sight see in the mornings and evenings. We also have plans to go camping, hike the 2nd tallest mountain in our state, and some other local visits to places. Since my hubby is still in school, summer is truly our only opportunity to take vacations/travel. The $100 gift card would sure help us out with some gas!

  165. Holly July 4, 2012 at 12:42 am

We have a lot of weddings keeping us very busy! We make sure to stay a few extra days everywhere we go so that we can get to know the cities these events are hosted in, small and large!

  166. Nicole @ Rare Bird July 4, 2012 at 10:04 pm

We farm with two small kiddos, so we are doing another “stay-cation” close to home again this year. Making memories happens–no matter how close or far we are from home, so I am excited about documenting them. Thanks for such a great giveaway!

  167. Shannon July 5, 2012 at 9:59 am

We’re headed to Lake Michigan & the Sleeping Bear Dunes. Lake Michigan is a real treasure – this will be our second time there, this time further north.

  168. Maricel July 5, 2012 at 7:20 pm

My hubby is in the military, so we’re currently stationed overseas. This summer, we’re taking a North America tour with stops in California, Nevada, Mexico, Utah, DC & Maryland. It will be so nice to have a reunion with our family and friends across the country!

  169. April July 9, 2012 at 7:22 pm

Oh I just got back from visiting family for a month, it was awesome since they all live on the other end of the country. The rest of the summer we will be enjoying the warm sun and playing outside before it gets all snowy again :)

  170. Jen July 12, 2012 at 4:49 pm

I have spent the summer with my precious 16 month old building block towers, tossing balls around, exploring with crayons, and watching us some Disney Junior! I have made 2 books a couple of days ago that ducuments are time from June til now.

  171. Andrea July 23, 2012 at 6:16 pm

We’ve already taken our summer trips. But we went to Kure Beach with the entire family. Grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins. It was my son’s first trip to the beach. He is 16 months old.

  172. grace July 25, 2012 at 3:42 pm

We have been busy with summer camp, lots of play dates and swimming. Our boy loves the water!! Looking forward actually for cooler weather, it’s been pretty hot and humid here in NC!
