This month, our focus is on love. The people, things, and ideas that make us swoon. Not surprisingly (it’s an amazingly inspire-y site) we’re finding and pinning a lot of things we love on our latest obsession, Pinterest.

As a Christian, photographer, and mom, I am continually inspired by Ashley’s blog at Ashley Ann Photography. I love the way she captures her family’s everyday moments in a way that makes them seem magical, and I enjoy following their progress as they adopt a special needs child from China.
I love Pinterest. Combine that with StumbleUpon and it’s easy to spend an afternoon or evening finding inspiration for photography or scrapbooking.

Of course Pintrest is the website that has me drooling! How can you not Love that sight.. For me it is a sense of relaxation and a stirring of my creative side.. LOVE IT!!
I’m a pinterest and Instagram-girl all the way. I follow my favorite bloggers and draw much inspiration out of what they pin and post to instagram. It has to be adapted to european style, but it’s a wonderfull and visual form of inspiration!
I stumbled upon the site http://ohhappyday.com/ a few months ago and have been visiting it every week ( if not day) since. Jordan Ferney who runs the site is incredibly creative and seeing the amazing crafts, pictures, and projects she is working on inspires me to take a creative approach to whatever I do. ( The beautiful pictures of France are equally inspiring). When I’m feeling blue or a little stuck on a project , I wander over to ohhappyday.com and let the creative juices start flowing.
Pinterest! I’ve been on for a while but I’m really just now figuring out all the ways I can use it!
I just learned how to knit (and I love all kinds of crafts), so my current obsession is pinterest and an app called “knitting help” that has all kinds of knitting videos and knitting help.

Unfortunately, I think it’s turning me into a hoarder: I have storage closets in my garage FULL of tin cans, cardboard boxes, etc., because I just KNOW I can use them eventually. My husband will believe it when he sees it – I have only created two Pin-spired masterpieces. : ) A camera would be lovely considering I just gave birth to my fourth and quite possibly final child. I have been inspired by Styleberry blog – I’ve been trying for years to learn how to use my digital camera in manual mode and just couldn’t (or wouldn’t do it). I have a degree in photography and know the ins and outs of how things work, but I learned on film. Reading Shawna’s blog at Styleberry gave me the inspiration to finally switch to manual mode and I have not looked back!

I love Pinterest — it’s so addictive! I love Paper Coterie — I just this week made a Sisters book for my daughters and am sooo excited to see it. It’s my new go-to place for gifts! I also love Etsy for gifts, party inspiration and just browsing! I think most of my Christmas list came from Etsy — I love supporting handcrafters and unique artisans. Nesting Place is favorite blog, along with Emily Jones Designs. I love their photos and inspiring decorating ideas!
I really do love all the inspiration on Instagram! And I love how it makes *my* pictures look so amazing! When I have a few spare moments I like to just look through the pictures posted and I always find something that is just over the top beautiful!

I know I sound like a follower rather than a leader but I really do love Pinterest — a friend was showing me a picture of a cake she wanted to make and I was like what site are you on? Then I started seeing it everywhere so I signed up and love the inspiration I find there — quotes, ideas for my home and family and just plain camaraderie. I also like Spark people – it inspires me to be healthier and gives me good motivation tips and support everyday. I like sites – and people – and activities – that encourage me — to be better, do better, live better — and these two sites do.
I love the PaperTraders Art blog. All kinds of paper goodies keep popping up there. Makes me want to get out to my studio and create!

We are currently closing on the house which we will raise our children in- I feel so lucky to have found Pinterest at this point in my life. I just love cozi.com that a good friend told me about (she also told me about paper coterie and I just love it, can’t wait to put in my first order). With 4 kids and many activities on our schedule I am able to set up the whole families schedule on Cozi and have reminders texted to those needing reminders. It has really taken the pressure off me to make sure everyone is where they need to be all the time, including myself!

I just discovered Pinterest and I am obsessed! It is so addicting because it has SO many good ideas! I love sharing back and forth with other people and seeing what they are interested in. Since joining, I have even started making all of my own cleaning products for my house after seeing all the amazing pins by other people about the topic. It really opened my eyes to how easy it is! If it wasn’t for Pinterest, I’d probably still be wasting tons of money on hazardous cleaning products that don’t even work as good as the DIY ones! Pinterest is also great for kids crafts ideas! I do love Pinterest right now. I really love Child’s Own Studio and would love to have her make a doll for my daughter out of one of her drawings. I love that moved our dinning room table in our office as a family craft table that everyone has been using, and now we eat at a smaller table that is more intimate and we converse easier. I love that my daughter is drawing and expressing her opinions and making chioced based on her taste – that she describes to us in full detail. I love that I can recognize this and slow down to show her how important she is and what a wonderful person she is becoming.

I love looking for unique gift ideas so my favorite blogs right now are Open Sky, which I just recently discovered; hearty, which saves money on cool etsy stores; and zulily, for discounted children’s goods.
Because I am also a working mother of a two-year-old, I find a sense of encouragement from reading the New York Time’s blog, The Motherlode; and the Wall Street Journal’s blog, The Juggle.
My favorite blog right now is ScrapScene. It keeps me up to date on many different things – like scrap rooms, new products, good places to check out. Following that is Pinterest – for sure!

Any time I need inspiration for a new craft to do with my toddler, how to throw a fabulous Halloween party, what to wear for date night, how to make my husband the most drool worthy German chocolate cake or create a wallet friendly tablescape I head straight for this site to steal ideas! The list goes on here. Best yet for a blog it is extremely well categorized and easy to find what you’re looking for.

I love volunteering with West Metro Fire Protection District specifically working with Community Relations Specialist, Susan Saito in Lakewood, CO. I have been disabled & not able to work since Oct, 2004 since developing a Chronic Pain Condition that has only worsened over the years. It has taken me this long(Aug, 2011) to be in a place mentally & physicially to take on the responsibility of trying to be “at work” as I call it even 2 hrs, 2 days in a week when she can have me. We are very much alike as I was Susan when I was healthy, always on the go, an exciting (extremely demanding) career, husband, family (my health made the call on children for me) but I see her doing it all and can see what my might have been for me. I am fulfilled with the little interactions I have with all sorts of people in the time I am doing my work in Sue’s office. All of the data entry I do, helps Sue with proving need for next year’s writing of grants to educational programs going in the County schools, and in areas identified by reviewing 911 calls from County residents. From this review, she & her colleagues can see where community education can or may help to decrease 911 calls in one area so that they may help in another. I am entering my 6th month with West Metro and I can see myself volunteering with them for the long run as neither I nor my physicians see a return to work in my future. I hope that Sue will be in her position for a long time as her association with firefighting is kind of in her blood. I hope for many more months & years that Susan & I can work together. I hope in the future as time can allow that I might be able to help her further than just data entry to spreadout her workload and keep my brain learning new things, maybe even if my body can’t!

I just purchased Richard and Amy McDowell’s (Red Leaf Studios) “Light and Truth” downloadable magazine and am finding so much inspiration and beauty in each and every page. It’s exactly what I needed this winter to bring my self-esteem and creativity back to a boiling point. This couple’s work has always been something that I have admired and to be able to hear interviews in the magazine from other creative’s that they admire is, truly, music to my soul.

-Pinterest (who DOESN’T just love it…. I have to be careful not to waste too much time there! Ha!)
-Cozi — this is a website and app that I use a lot — it is an online-based calender, scheduler and much more. I love that I can add something onto my calender via my smartphone, and then look it up at home on my computer. My husband can do the same thing, and then we know what the plans are for the week. It’s quite handy!

-MADE — this is a mostly sewing blog that I have been following for about 2 years now. She has great ideas and has really turned me onto up-cycling clothing for my children.

Pintrest is my new love! It’s satisfying when I see something I really like, want to share, or an idea I want to save for a rainy day, and I have somewhere to “pin” it so I don’t loose it. Love it!

I have been making a baby book and milestone chart recently since my daughter turned 1. I made her a website on shutterfly so that my family who live abroad don’t miss any of her pictures. I also use smilebox now and then for quick and cute slideshows that I can email them. I made a custom mug with our favorite pictures on it through vistaprint which will be a valentine’s day gift for my hubby.

I am currently addicted to Instagram, which is how I found you… I have to set time limits for myself and also play a little “game” in which I have to complete certain chores/tasks before opening the app! It is a fun outlet for my creative energy and also a great opportunity to interact with people around the world. (I am afraid to even look in to Pinterest because I know I would be sucked in to that world as well…no time!) Other than that, I am mindful to spend as much time with my family as possible, knowing that my teen-aged boys are becoming men before my very eyes.
