Summer Bucket List

As summer approached my mind began to race with creative ideas. I’ve always wanted to do some sort of summer fun list, but failed in both time and inspiration to do so. Until I came across a blog who encouraged crafting a Summer Bucket List and I knew this was the year!

Together as a family, we sat down and came up with an exciting, yet realistic list of goals we’d like to accomplish during our summer vacation. Each of us giving his or her ideas. In the end we felt thrilled with our little plan and began to check things off almost immediately.

The Internet is full of crafty ideas for printing or sharing your Summer Bucket List, but I knew I wanted to do something really unique. So I began sharing our Bucket List as we completed it via Instagram. I used my iPhone to snap a photo of our list item and an app called Phonto to write what it was we accomplished on that image.

A former scrapbooker at heart, I also began to collect items from our various ventures: the receipt from our Jamba Juice outing, rocks we found on our hike, and the precious goggles used during our swimming days, to name a few. As we complete our list, I print the small square photos out for us to tangibly see what fun we’ve had.

It then hit me, why not order a Memory Boxto keep all of these precious pieces in one place? And so, it just happened to be the perfect way to complete our little adventure. The Memory Box is so spacious we’re able to keep all of our items inside, as well as the images and our original Summer Bucket List.

I imagine this is going to be a special part of our family history that my children can hold onto and browse through as the years pass and I look forward to making it a yearly tradition!
