The Pool

I believe this will be known as the summer we lived at the pool. Day in and day out we pack our things and head down. We walk the same path that leads us there, take our places beneath the shade of the cabana, and settle in for hours of fun.
I love watching from the sidelines, seeing my children grow in strength and courage as they venture to new places and try new things. The water teaches lessons and it offers a reprieve. It carries my babies as they enjoy friends and enjoy the sun.
As summer winds down and fall approaches we will hang up our pool toys and move forward with what life brings us next. I cherish these hot afternoons and look forward to the years ahead and all the fun they too will bring.
